@wmg111 Have you read Ron Paul’s wikipedia article? He grew up on a dairy farm. You might not like “folksy common sense” but its not an act in Ron Paul’s case.?
Ron Paul does not push an agenda of intolerance. For heaven’s sake, don’t get snowed by that disgusting little neocon weasel Jamie Kirchick’s coverage of Paul. Many are still pushing attacks against Iran, NOW. *That’s* intolerance, the intolerance that kills. And Paul is one of the only voices that stands up against it.
While I agree with his position on the oxymoronic patriot act, I still don’t like Rand Paul or the wave of hypocrisy he rode in on.
He and his father use their particular brand of “folksy common sense” to push an agenda of intolerance and wilful ignorance.
If the evolution of the species had been left to conservatives we would still? be cave-bound.
Many democrats agreed with Rand Paul in this particular instance. A great example of democracy working like it is supposed to. I can’t help but like Rand Paul here, as he speaks with the same calm certainty as his father. The Patriot Act needs to be carefully overseen, reversed in certain instances, amended. The presidency must be limited. We must push? back against laws put in place by Bush during a time of great fear. By the way, I’m definitely NOT a supporter of either father or son!
@kanjizaibosatsugyo am black and I would love to allow PRIVATE business to be able to discriminate against blacks, Mexicans, homosexuals, kkk members, communists etc. As a Black man, why should i unknowingly patronize a business that hates my kind? Also you liberals are kinda racists bcos you think? we cannot open businesses that are as good as the ones that discriminates, thats why you feel the need to force others to open up their stores up for us. Guess what, we can take care of ourselves
@rickamabob13 He was against the Patriot Act during his campaign. He stated it? many times. However, the nationwide media didn’t find it sexy and didn’t make an issue out of it.
If you think Rand Paul is just another generic Republican, just wait. House Republicans pledged to cut $38 billion — he pledged $500. Rand was the only senator to vote against an unneeded federal law regarding laser pointers and planes.
You may disagree with him a lot, but he’s not just another Republican
He used the Tea Party to get into office. He played to racism and xenophobia during the campaign. Now he is turning into his dad which, is slightly less? disgusting than the losers that he swindled to get into office. This is the guy that would like to allow businesses to be able to discriminate against Blacks, Mexicans, and Homosexuals. If you agree, you just might be a Teabagging moron.
