Duffy defends CME’s reaction in trading-glitch autopsy
Heads of financial exchanges and the Securities and Exchange Commission couldn’t explain last week’s market decline at a congressional hearing Tuesday, but a spat developed over Chicago futures trading. Eric Noll, executive vice president of Nasdaq OMX Group Inc., said “unusual trading activity” at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange was one factor in the crash.
